Lekempti (Nekemte)
Lekempti coffee includes Kelem Wollega, East Wollega and Gimbi coffees. Lekempti coffee is known for its pleasant acidity and healthy body. Also Lekempt coffee is one of Ethiopia’s largest baskets of unwashed coffee and Ethiopia’s largest export.
Home: Ghimbi and Wollega provinces in the western highlands of Ethiopia.
Altitude: 1500m – 1800m (4900 – 5900ft) above sea level.
Processing: Natural (sun-dried) or Washed.
Characteristics: Known for slight distinct fruity flavor with a pleasant acidity and healthy body.
Physical Appearance: Generally medium in size, green to greyish in color.
